We're raffling off a RaceBox Mini S in the first Fall Cup drawing on September 30. Here's how to earn entries, plus how the Mini S has held up over a season of track days and the workflow we use with it on Qualy.

Win a RaceBox Mini S During the Fall Cup
Qualy is raffling off one RaceBox Mini S during the 2026 Qualy Fall Cup.
This is the first of three raffle drawings we'll be holding during the Cup, with drawings on September 30, October 31, and November 30. The RaceBox Mini S is the prize for the first drawing on September 30. You can see the full prize list on our prizes page.
Rather than making the raffle completely random, we're giving drivers more opportunities to win by participating in Qualy and helping the community grow.
The RaceBox Mini S is a 25Hz GPS unit, which puts it at the top end of consumer-level GPS lap timers. That means it records GPS data 25 times per second, compared to 1Hz on phones or 10Hz on higher-level consumer products. Even the larger RaceBox with the display only records at 10Hz. The Mini S — as opposed to the standard Mini — has built-in storage, so it can record sessions without staying connected to your phone the entire time. RaceBox rates it for more than two hours of recording at 25Hz.

Reach out to us once you've completed each action so we can add the entries to your total. Only one winner per Cup is allowed, so once you've won a prize you are not eligible for future drawings. If you don't win, your entries carry over to the next drawing!

Using the Mini S
I've been running the RaceBox Mini S for most of my track days this year — timing laps, building video overlays, digging through data, and feeding laps into the compare feature here on Qualy. The Mini S works really well with the RaceBox app. You download the app, find and connect the unit, and the whole pairing process is seamless. You can either select the track yourself or let the app detect where you are, and once everything is set up it automatically begins timing as you cross the start/finish line. Each lap is recorded with a time, and there are various other metrics you can display in the app.
Afterward, the RaceBox app and website do a good job of organizing everything into sessions and individual laps. The app itself is clean and relatively minimal, which I like. I've also found the timing to be very accurate — in my use, lap times have lined up very well with other timing sources.
Qualy + RaceBox Connection
I've come up with a very simple workflow using the RaceBox alongside Qualy. The one thing the RaceBox app and site do not have — and in my opinion the most important one — is a speed/distance graph. Speed/distance is one of the best ways to visualize where you are losing or gaining time compared to another driver, another car, or yourself. Here's my current process:
- Use the RaceBox app to record data as normal.
- Go to the RaceBox site, choose the data session, and download the CSV using the cloud download symbol on the right-hand side.
- Choose the file type — CSV or VBO both work well.
- Go to Qualy and select Upload Lap.
- Choose the second option, Session, drag in the file, and fill out the submission.
- This will allow you to choose which lap's data to upload.
- Go to our Compare feature and select the laps you want to compare for deeper analysis.
- Later, you can go back to the site to add video for an official lap submission.
